Product Description

Haorunmed supply Stethoscope is an acoustic medical device used to listen to sounds within the human or animal body. It is primarily used to monitor the sounds produced by internal organs such as the heart, lungs, and intestines, and is one of the most basic and commonly used tools in clinical diagnosis.

Structure and Working Principle

Chest Component (Headpiece): The sound-collecting component that rests against the patient's skin. It is typically a double-sided design:

Diaphragm Side: A taut thin membrane used for listening to high-frequency sounds, such as normal heart sounds and breath sounds;

Bell Side: A cup-shaped cover that, when lightly pressed against the skin, captures low-frequency sounds, such as heart murmurs and gallop rhythm.

The principle is that sounds within the body cause the diaphragm to vibrate, and the sound waves are collected, amplified, and transmitted to the tube.

Tube: A hollow, flexible tube made of rubber or PVC that transmits sound waves from the chest component to the earpiece. The length and material of the tube will affect sound quality to some extent—the longer the tube, the more noticeable the sound attenuation.

Earpiece (Headphone): The metal ear tube is tilted forward, conforming to the direction of the external auditory canal. The earplug must be tightly inserted into the ear canal to isolate ambient noise and ensure clear auscultation.

In addition to traditional acoustic stethoscopes, modern stethoscopes also exist, which convert sound into electrical signals through sensors, enabling amplification, noise reduction, and recording playback, facilitating teaching and remote diagnosis.

Common Uses:

* Cardiac Auscultation: Assessing heart rate, rhythm, and valvular function; detecting murmurs, pericardial friction rubs, and other abnormalities.

* Lung Auscultation: Identifying breath sounds; checking for wheezing, moist rales, or pleural effusion.

* Abdominal Auscultation: Monitoring bowel sounds; assisting in assessing intestinal function status such as intestinal obstruction and paralytic ileus.

* Blood Pressure Measurement: Used in conjunction with a sphygmomanometer to determine systolic and diastolic blood pressure by listening to Korotkoff sounds.

Other: Checking for vascular murmurs (such as carotid and renal artery sounds); monitoring fetal heart sounds, etc.

Precautions for use: The environment should be quiet during auscultation, and the chest piece should fit snugly against the skin (studying through clothing will significantly affect the sound quality); the ear piece should be oriented in the same direction as the ear canal; clean and disinfect before and after use to avoid cross-infection.
