Instructions for Use:Haorunmed supply Disposable Surgery Film
1. Pre-operative Preparation and Skin Treatment
Cleaning and Disinfection: Thoroughly clean and disinfect the intended application site in accordance with standard surgical protocols.
Skin Drying: Ensure the skin is completely dry. Note: Moisture or undried disinfectant can compromise the drape's adhesion, leading to edge lifting or bacterial ingress.
2. Opening the Package
Integrity Check: Verify that the sterile individual package is undamaged and free from moisture.
Opening: Open the outer packaging in a sterile environment and remove the surgical drape. Avoid direct contact between your hands and the central adhesive surface of the drape.
3. Removing the Release Paper
Technique: As the product consists of a release paper, a polyethylene film, and a medical-grade pressure-sensitive adhesive, it is recommended to gently lift the release paper from one corner.
Maintaining Tension: Keep the film flat during removal to prevent wrinkling.
4. Positioning and Application
Centering: Align the center of the surgical drape with the surgical incision site or the critical area requiring protection. Its high transparency allows for a clear view of underlying anatomical structures or marking lines.
Gradual Application: Gently press from the center outward to ensure close contact between the film and the skin.
Smoothing and Air Removal: Use fingers or a sterile gauze pad to press outward from the center, expelling air bubbles and ensuring a wrinkle-free application. This allows the drape's high elasticity to conform to body contours, ensuring a secure bond.
5. Edge Reinforcement and Inspection
Seal Check: Confirm that the edges of the drape are fully adhered to the skin with no lifting. This is crucial for preventing the ingress of water and bacteria.
6. Intraoperative Maintenance
Keeping Dry: Although the product is water-resistant, avoid prolonged immersion in large amounts of fluid to prevent adhesive failure.
Observation: Utilize the drape's transparency to monitor the area around the incision; address any abnormal exudation promptly. 7. Post-operative Removal
Slow removal: After the procedure, slowly peel off the film starting from the edge at a 0-degree or 180-degree angle.
Hypoallergenic benefits: Thanks to its hypoallergenic formula, removal should be painless and cause no skin damage or adhesive residue.
Cleaning residue: If any minor adhesive traces remain, gently wipe them away using medical alcohol or a specialized adhesive remover.
